On the east is the Preveli Monastery with a long history from the Turkish domination. Five hundred meters before the first monastery complex of Preveli, you meet the Big River that reaches until the exotic Palm Forest and empties his water into the magnificent beach of Preveli. Also you may visit the Kotsifos Canyon and the Courtaliotiko Canyon, another miracle of nature. Stepping down the Courtaliotiko Canyon, you meet the church of Agios Nikolaos, where you may admire deeper the magnificence of the Cretan land.
